Dr. Warren N. Chin M.B.B.S., DM (Urology)

 

Dr. Chin is an experienced minimally invasive Urological Surgeon and Endourologist. He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of the West Indies, Mona in 1998. He went on to pursue post-graduate training in Urology at the UWI, and gained experience at the University of Toronto during elective training. After completing the Doctor of Medicine in Urology he pursued subspecialty fellowship training at the Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

 

Since his return to Jamaica over a decade ago, Dr. Chin has worked as a Consultant Urologist at the Kingston Public Hospital and Island Medical Specialists. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in establishing advanced endoscopic and laparoscopic urologic surgery as a standard locally. He is committed to the treatment of benign and malignant urological disorders with special expertise in the treatment of urinary tract stones, genito-urinary tumours and infectious diseases.

His other areas of clinical practice include the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), voiding dysfunction, erectile dysfunction and recurrent bladder infections.

Dr. Chin is a founding member of Island Medical Specialists and is dedicated to the provision of quality, patient-centred health care. He is past president of the Jamaica Urological Society, and an active member of the American Urology Association, European Association of Urology, Endourological Society and Société Internationale d'Urologie. He also serves as an Associate Lecturer with the University of the West Indies, contributing to educating urologists in training.
